A Little Sherman Diversion from the KV-2 Conversion!

Post by ColemanCollector »

I normally try to keep only one project on the bench at one time, but when Rob1970 released his Sherman 3 piece diff cover on Cults3D it was time to break my rules.
My early-Christmas present from my wife was a 3d printer to begin my descent into the maelstrom! After a benchy and a couple of other gee-gaws to get started I downloaded the files for the diff cover and here's the result!

Dang! This thing is sweet, and that's just me running a test print in PLA and lower res settings just to see how things might go. Rob has done a fantastic job on this kit, and I say "kit" because you get everything to print including new driveshaft covers and templates for cutting your donor tanks hull. The instructions are detailed, easy to follow and really well illustrated.
Finally, a chance to get going on a Canadian Grizzly, and then a Grant? Priest? Lee? Me happy!
Thanks again, Rob!
Mike.
