Awesome news. Always thought that would be a good model for some scratch building in RC.

Maybe WPL truck chassis could be used?

Well, the real one is around 2.3 meters wide, that's 144mm wide in 1/16th.
That's body width, and the wheels are closer together.

WPL axles will fit under it, tho I'd want to use the JJRC ones with the differentials as the wheel base is rather short and it will likely struggle to turn without them - I see this problem with my short wheelbase CCKW352's, and the M8 has its axles even closer together...

Always loved the 234 since I built the Airfix kit 50 years ago. I will get one for sure.
8 wheel drive, 8 wheel steering, independent suspension with massive leaf springs, gun elevation, turret rotation and recoil. Lots of challenges. Looks like a lot of time in the worksop.
Now if some more tech savvy people can be persuaded to do a 3d print suspension/steering set and Aber/Voyager upscale their 1/35 detailing kits to 1/16th.

There are far to many Aber/Voyager 1/35 PE sets that are NOT replicated in 1/16 and I agree it is frustrating the good stuff is out there in another scale.

Having been exported in at least 50 countries and also used by police forces around the world, the possibilities for M8 variants, colors and markings are endless.

Not to mention that the M20 wouldn't be too much work to make from it either...

Everybody surely remember the turretless LAPD M8 from the movie Die Hard.
