Re: A Merry Christmas- from the Britpack!
I'm just basking in the warmth and camaraderie expressed here (whilst looking enviously at Louis' Panzer 2 indulgence ). Many thanks to Ecam, Meter Rat, ( Not quite as far from the border as I am!), dear old Painless and Tankme. I only wish the Christmas holidays spawned the same sense of comradeship, the best human values, kinship, and well-wishing, the whole year round- and, of course, around the globe. It's our only home. I only wish you could all join me in sharing the 15-year old Highland Speyside single malt whisky I'm enjoying right now. But you can't!! It's all mine! Something I should mention, perhaps, is the fact that the amber nectar- 'uisge beatha' (Gaelic- 'Water of Life') is written 'WHISKEY in the USA and Ireland; but in Scotland, the true home of the dram, the spelling is: 'WHISKY'. Merry Christmas!. if you want a chuckle at someone who plays the perfect comic inebriate, look no further than English comedian, Eddie Frinton. This short film- 'Dinner for one', is shown on German television every Christmas. It's a ritual. Ironically, Freddie never touched a drop- or so he said.

If that is the same Freddie Frinton that I am thinking of I cannot help wondering what he has done with his cigarette..
I think I am about to upset someone
