Was having a blast in Belgium discovering a KingTiger standing by the road of a museum. We were on vacation. Watched 2 days of movies about it and my eye caught a glimpse of an early Tiger.
Wanted a static model of that after reviewing some lay out drawings and photos.
To my surprise another world opened up ... of RC Tanks.
Looking forward for some technical help so you will find me there most of the time. After that I'm going to try to make my model Tiger early version Taigen Sand Yellow look a little bit better.

Welcome to the forum Bennie. There's plenty of Tiger info here and a bunch of friendly helpful members too.

Great to have you along mate.
I have also been to the King Tiger in La Gleize , and with the blessing of the Museum staff, stood on its deck.
Was a hell of an experience.
If you can share pics of your builds as they progress, we'd really like that

Hello, Bennie! Gee, most of us start with something smaller, say, 1/16 scale. The radio control in that
Königstiger will be easy, but you are going to need some large motors.

Hello and welcome to the forum. The Tiger was way down my list of tanks I wanted. That is until I acquired a second hand Tamiya from a car boot sale, for minimal cost. It is now my favourite.

Hi Bennie Welkom
I see you have a Tiger 1 early, There are more upgrades available for 1/16 Tiger 1s than any other Tank so a good idea is to do some research on a particular Tank or you will be spending money on parts you will not need,
A good place to start searching for parts is
www.rctanks.de or
www.forgebeartanks.com both of these dealers are straight up good guys who wont let you down,
As to research there are a plethora of books on the subject as well as U-Tube,
A first hint is that the German Army just like every other army used stencils not decals and we have an expert in this Forums membership "Rad Schuhart" who makes stencils, Let him know what you want and for hardly any money it will be on its way to you

.
Enjoy this place and keep us apprised of your efforts with the Tiger.
