I had previously removed the battery compartment to give more space inside, but access for a larger battery became problematic, so the upper and lower hills had magnets installed.

I then removed the side skirts, after shaving off the details, and made new ones out of an old van inner tube. Only had a small amount of time so not much got done.

Now I’m more comfortable in doing this I will finish this over the weekend. Hopefully next week the frame for the chassis will be made.

If you or anyone is trying to make maximum use of the available space inside the hull of a tank you could always line the interior of the hull with VELCRO and attach Velcro to the smoker, Control Board and the battery, I usually mount the battery halfway up the side of the hull and remember the smoker is mounted where it is because of the limited length of the pipes, Get longer pipes and you can put it wherever you want like under the turret to feed the main gun after firing and recoil.

Suitably motivated by Innis and Gunn, a small amount of time was spent today making a start on the ram things for the dozer blade. I need to get this into perspective and get it done. Family commitments prevent work on Sunday, but it will give me time to think about how to make the pivot point.

No smokers in my tanks, because they simply look unrealistic. Velcro will be used for the MFU and to locate the battery.

Depends on metal, or other material and to glue or solder. I made these as a press in fit to the tube, good tight stay in place until soldered fit.
