Ecam: "I was helping start a business to build Jeep lighting systems"; Monsieur Tox "Working in the FX industry...." These explain a lot of the wizardry you both accomplish with RC AFVs. Bravo!

Made some progress on the Tamiya M51/AHHQ T23 mish mash turret.

Sanded and filled and a coat of filler primer applied to check for imperfections and sanded again.

Stippled on some Mr Surfacer to the cast areas last night.

Thank you - a thick brush to stipple it on is the easiest way I found!

Smelly stuff.

Should start on the detail parts later this week.

Yeah that something to do outdoor.
I don't use Mr Surfacer because my hobbyshop does not carry it and it's too expensive with shipping, I use Tamiya putty thinned with acetone or cellulosic thinner, very smelly too :D

Made a little progress using some detail parts from the AHHQ Sherman.

Kinda wished I’d stuck with the Andy’s turret completely but with it not fitting the cast hull I had a change of heart.

Awaiting Schumo light guard set before I can prime and check for any sanding to do.

.30 and .50 cal mounts on the turret roof ready for the machine guns.

Schumo bits due before Christmas. With any luck I’ll get some primer on it as well :)

Well, no Schumo stuff arrived but I have managed to prime and base coat the lower hull and turret!

.30 cal and .50 cal offered up to their new mounts.

Thank you :)

Top coat was Tamiya Light Olive. I think it’s TS5.

Halfords red oxide type primer. Base coat was Tamiya Dark Green.
