Platon looks uninterested, as usual.

Next step is to install the electronics. I will likely provide a video of the tank in action.

Great looking tank, subtle weathering has toned down the colour.

The decals are a nice touch, I painted mine by hand and have not done the number plate lettering yet.
I scanned 1/35 AFV-Club Sho't Kal decals, expanded to 1/16 and printed on white decal sheet. I takes a few trial and error phases to master the process but it provides good results.

Yes, Takom M4A3E8 Sherman on Tamiya chassis.

Thank you, doing the research and interpreting old pictures was pleasant.

Thank you everyone

And to finalize the build, here is a short video of the Sho't Meteor in action.

The TONGDE model comes with excellent plug and play electronics. I can probably finetune the adjustments to make the running even more smoother. The only issue with the coltrol board is the track recoil mouvement, too powerful even at the lowest setting, i had to turn it off. The TONGDE metal tracks are the best.

Absolutely love this Centurion. Been watching the build thread with great interest and picked up so much info from your very informative descriptions of what you did and how you did it. Great work

Thank you Barry and Gorehound, and everyone.

It was an interesting build, i learned a lot myself. IDF Centurions of various marks (3,5,8,11...) were purchased from many countries and upgraded many times (Early and Late Sho't Meteor, Sho't Kal Alef, Beth, Gimel, Dalet), considerably changing the layout for the same tank over time. It is important to select a model you want to build and stick to it, not mixing variants. Double checking references and analysing wartime pictures before doing anything was important on this one, there is very little accurate documentation on the IDF Centurions.

The Tongde Centurion base was less accurate than anticipated. I did let go some structural issues that would have required to crack open the upper hull, such as the angle of the side armor in the mid section, and the slope on the driver's hatch top plate. But it also has great features and it runs extremely well. The gearbox is smooth, the control board is equivalent to a HL TK 7.0 and is plug and play. The TONGDE metal tracks for the Centurion and M60 are the best tracks i have seen. For the cost, it is a good deal.

I was just looking through the"BNA Model World" updates and they are selling a 1/16 "UZI" with a choice of stocks at £11.17 each I thought it might add to the appearance of a member of the Crew?
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Thanks, Interesting. I am a bit suspicious about 3D printing for such small fine details. Pictures of renderers might look good but actual items are usually grainy, still have printed lines in the worst places and the items difficult to separate from the mountings without damaging them. I had difficulty with the small and expensive FC Modeltrend helmets and sunglasses i got for this build. It would be interesting to check the Royal Model offering.

I did purchase a couple of high quality resin UZis from Reedees Miniatures at https://sites.google.com/site/reedeesmi ... authuser=0

They look good for the price for 2, and the price includes international shipping.

In terms of IDF weaponry, they also have the Galil that could be used on a Sho't accompanying infantry, depending on the timeline.

On the video, i removed the figures because they are extremely fragile, especially the helmet microphones and i did not want to take any chance of breaking them.

However, for static display, i gave the figures an UZI to deposit close by. The Sho't Meteor did not have a stand for the UZI of both sides like the Sho't Kal.
