I can't find the "making off" but they used a lot of nicely done 1:16 models.

I love that film.
I put it on when Im working on a Soviet tank, just to set the mood !!
The monument in the place where the action happened is very apt. I would like to go there in person, as I have with many other fields, to pay my respects to those that have endured things no man should on both sides.

Like most war stories a lot of myth and very little truth but it is a good movie

Jaxenro: I have never seen this movie, so I will check it out tonight. I see that the film is dubbed in Tagalog. Do you speak Tagalog? I learned a tiny bit about Tagalog in a linguistics class forty years ago. I was fascinated!

Yeah I watched some of it. Would be better if I understood it as I don't understand Tagalog.
Fun watch though after seeing the behind the scene vids above.

There is a full version with English subtitles. and another that is dubbed over, so 2 options for us
