Had a mare with the paints - used the wrong bloody thinners and it went all gloopy and split!

Lee has recommended some mig/ammo yellow top bottles so have ordered a ww2 German set to airbrush.

More to follow…

Hey Adam,

Sorry about the paint/thinner incompatability problem. Good luck with the redo. Since the problem is probably more common than we'd like, let us know how you solve the 'goupy" issue on the zimmerit.

Cheers

Thanks Ralph, I’ll get the paint sorted - rookie mistake but wasted two jars as I thinned them both!

Overall, I am quite pleased with the zimmerit. The instructions say to use filler in any gaps, so I’ve done that very roughly, it was never applied perfectly.

New paint arrived - spent some time today airbrushing the dunkel gelb base coat.

Left to dry in the good weather and got the heat proof grey barrel done as well.

Left to dry in the garage until I decide on camouflage or not.

Ad Lav, glad you're back on track. I completely sympathize with paint issues since I ran into some of my own with my Panther project. Keep it up, I look forward to see how things progress.
