Heng long Sherman tank

Hi everyone,
I’m new to the RC world and I’m having trouble with the tank firing bbs. I ordered a new bb unit and I thought a recoil barrel sounded good.
When I fitted the unit the tank barrel recoiled as expected but the tank no longer recoiled at all🤦🏻‍♂️
Is this normal? Can you only have one or the other if that’s makes sense, and not a recoil barrel as well as the tank recoiling?

Any advice much appreciated
Thanks
Lee

Many of us hate the track recoil, so for me, I'd say you are lucky. Do you still have the cannon sound when firing? The micro switch on the airsoft triggers the sound and track recoil on the standard HL.

Good evening, I am surprised that following the change of the BB system there is no longer this phenomenon of the recoil of the tank?
BB firing system with cannon recoil? surprises me too, are you sure? to my knowledge, does not exist? or else new? moreover, as our friend above asks, do you have the sound, during the recoil??

It’s basically doesn’t do the track recoil and fire the bb’s I have to either have track recoil or fire bb’s and no track recoil, I’m guessing it’s because the barrel recoils instead?
I haven’t a clue tbh🤦🏻‍♂️😂

I'm pretty sure that mine recoils on the tracks and gun when firing bb's.

If its a 6.0 or 7.0 mainboard you can turn the track recoil on and off through the controller by pressing some keys on the controller i think its K+S but check your controller instructions first

Thank you everyone for your help.

I’m thinking about getting the 7.0TK transmitter control, will I still need a 8 pin plug? Or does everything connect to the TK 7.0 transmitter and that’s it?
Thanks for any help with this 🤦🏻‍♂️u

I am surprised that no one has yet responded to your last question. I have swapped out older Taigen/Torro transmitter/MFU-sound modules over a dozen times. However, I am not sufficiently familiar with HengLong Transmitter and MFU to answer. I do like the degree of mechanical control the HengLong 7.0 allows.

The V7 board will accept all the functions direct to the board. However, Taigen elevation/recoil units won’t connect . Some heavy modifications will be required.
Or, get a 7.1s and build a recoil and get an ZHL elevation system & do it that way.

If the bb recoil unit is a recent HL version it will run off the board either a 6 or 7 without the 8 pin plug. I did 2 recently for a mate in some King Tigers.
The track recoil can be switched off too which is great
