Hi,
I have been an rc modeler for a long time (1983/84).
I have 1/16 tanks but my main interest at the moment is the rochobby 1/6 and 1/12 jeeps, I've had them since release and the 1/6 is forever evolving.

Mr Boo Welcome to the Forum,
Love your Jeeps I have one in 1/10 and after a little paint and weathering it does look rather nice,
Will you be venturing into 1/16 r/c armour in the Future? for if you do that is where the Forum really shines,
Of course R/C trucks and armour in all scales have an interest among some of us but the information is rather more sparse.
Enjoy this place and do ask questions.

I have an old tiger1, used to have a sherman as well but now sold.
The tiger is in poor condition, it is a very old heng long (bought in Hong Kong when I was in the army)I converted to full metal when the metal cost a small fortune. The electrics are knackered and missing a crystal. The cost to get it running outweighs the cost of a new Taigen. Thankfully a lot of the metal will transfer to complete any new tiger to full metal.
However talking about tigers I might change as I like the new Centurion and am secretly saving the 1k for one.

Welcome to the forum Mr. Boo.
Very nice pictures. You've got a knack with your Jeeps as well as taking pictures.
Heres to you rejoining the Armored RC world either Refurbishing the Tiger or the New Centurion.

That is the price of Tamiyas Centurion,
Goto
www.forgebeartanks.co.uk and you can get a 1/16 Tongde I/R/BB Centurion for £300 Ready to Run or goto
www.hayaltd.co.uk (South Wales) again I/R/BB for £500 both in my estimation better than Tamiyas.
Haya also sell a kit in the same way that Tamiya do but much cheaper,
Unlike the RTR Cents it comes without a control board.
I have a Haya Centurion and it is most impressive.
Tongdes Cent is a Mk 5, Hayas is a Mk 3 but a choice of Mk5 or Israeli Shot Kal conversions are available as are metal wheels and metal tracks.

Thanks guys, lots to think of and do.
I do boats and 1/10 crawlers, so each has its turn.
I am very tempted to 1/6 tiger 2, but the missus isn't

Welcome along!
Have you managed to find a trailer for the 1/12 roc hobby Jeep yet?
If you are hankering for a Tamiya Centurion my spare one is for sale
