Hello,
I recently got into 1:16 rc tanks and just bought parts without alot of research. So now I have an Tiger 1 first gen and an tk 7 driving unit. I got it connected and the fan is spinning but the tank doesn't seem to turn on, is it just not working together?

Here are two possibilities, both simple, both matters you have probably already checked, but, then, they are indicative of my capability with electronics. First, make sure the transmitter is compatible with and bound to the TK7 MFU. If so, also make sure the battery is actually fully charged. If you can, use a different battery and check with voltmeter if you have one. I have often been surprised by batteries that seem to be charged, but actually are not. I believe better help from those more knowledgeable will come soon.

I plucked an fan to the tk 7 already and it spins when the tank is switched to on and the electro motors work too but the tk 7 doesn't seem to pick up the signal? Do I need an signal receiver for it to work or is that already integrated in the tk 7?

Hello, I agree with what Her Professor writes... do you reason as much when talking about battery concerns? it's not because the fan is running, or a light is on? that the battery is at the top of its charge? it's like a car, battery flat? dashboard lights work, but not enough capacity for the starter

if your engines are running? have you looked, whether rotate when requires effort? concerning the TK 7, the receiver is incorporated, do you have "Binder" with the transmitter? do you have the specific dedicated transmitter? Does not work with any other transmitters, For the charger, I advise you to invest in a real charger called "intelligent" and automatic, those delivered with heng long, have only the name "charger" your batteries? are they Nicd,Nimh? or others, since you are talking about a first generation Tiger I? that is to say old model? from HL? or start of production? factory scale 1

The battery is mostly full but i will charge it again, the motors are running smooth and require no effort to do so. explain what u mean with "binder" please. I bought the tk 7 and transmitter as an set so I assume it belongs toghether. I have an NiMH battery and made an charger myself but gonna buy an proper one. I mean an old model of heng long, may be from the start of production which im unsure since I bought parts off ebay and not an full tank, see picture
PS: I changed the plug from the motors so it fit to the tk 7 and build the fan in there myself

You must pair the transmitter with the TK 7 board (Binder) see the attached video. For the charger, personally I would consider buying a good charger, it is also an important part, to know in real time , the state of your batteries, moreover it is not a big investment. Look at the electronic post of this forum, should find good advice there.
PS: sorry if my English is not perfect?? too old to learn, I use "Google translate"

OK, so great, watch out for polarity inversions risk of toasting the turntable, so enjoy this Tiger I

Almost happened while rewiring the battery cable, the wires got pretty hot, got lucky it still works and thank you
