Cold and frosty, yet still in shorts! Great POV video, the fog really adds to the effect!

I have been following this all along, Meter rat, and I think I recall (couldn't find skimming back through) that the sound is Tamiya. I don't recall hearing an RC tank so close-up, and it sounds quite good. (Although I have a Sherman with a POV camera, it's still waiting in the basement gold mine.)

Tamiya recorded Tiger 131 at The Tank Museum,
The thing about the engine in 131 is that it is not its original engine I might be mistaken but I believe it has a Tiger11 rebuild.
Perhaps Tom Hugill can clarify the matter.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

They recorded the King Tiger at Saumur, Tiger 131 was not running when the MF01 was released - there is even a video of them doing it on Youtube.

Interesting observations 8O about the Tamiya sounds. It has a Heng Long TK 6.0 MFU, and a standard HL speaker.

So my memory is incorrect; no surprise. It's HengLong's Tiger 1 after all. It still sounds better in the "intimate" sound of the video. I have heard a number of YouTube videos of Tiger 1s starting up and running. The recorded sounds uses in RC tanks have one flaw: the repetition, especially at idle. I noticed that "sound circle" far less in your video.

After much trimming, testing, moving stuff about, and repositioning the ball joint for the elevation of the gun, we now have a smooth working gun.
