Hi Folks

This is the first club meet that I have been able to attend so I can not compare it to any held previously, but if previous events have been similar, I am truly sorry that I missed attending them as well.  I have chatted to you all on here for many months, but I had never met any of the folks there face to face before, but I felt rite at home with all of them, so I would like to thank every one for a great weekend.

The weather was absolutely brilliant, and the large marquee loaned to us by a friendly Scout group was ideal as our weekend HQ.
I came home with loads of ideas, and a heap of parts from Forgebear to build a Stug over the winter. It was great to sit on the grass and watch ideas being exchanged, and to show off our tanks to the public. To watch childrens faces beam with excitement as we used the area set aside for tank battles, and occasionally allow a youngster to drive a tank for a few minutes made it all worthwhile.

It was great to meet, young Matt, the lad that has made our club possible by building this website for us, and fun to put a face to all the daft "names" I we use.

I hope you all had a safe journey home, and I look forward to meeting you all again

Micky B

What can I say that hasn't been said already, this was the event that we had all been waiting for. A huge marquee (thanks Paul - that was superb), and a fairly large battleground, all nicely roped off and with roadways mown.

There was an attendance of 10,500 over the weekend, they broke all previous records by a country mile, so that means 10,500 people plus the exhibitors now know about us. Forgebear did some excellent trading (both for the public and club members), the sun shone, and we had plenty of battles.

It was great to meet Alison (though I still have no idea how the youngest female tank commander in the country knew who I was the second I turned up again on Sunday??).

We had a huge amount of interest from the public, and having a rather large Jagdpanther in the marquee certainly helped attract visitors. We received some very positive comments from both exhibitors and the public all weekend.

On a personal note, I had a great time with really friendly people, and as always I take away more knowledge (and tanks - I blame Forgebear for that), and ideas than I arrive with.

And finally...the appearance of 'Mad Pierre and his Performing Weathering Powders' in the club marquee....
