HOOBEN T55 UGANDAN HILLBILLY WAGON
Re: HOOBEN T55 UGANDAN HILLBILLY WAGON
Hi Herman,
You might want to check Reedees Miniatures and add a couple of Russian PKM machine guns to complete the arsenal of your combat group.

Re: HOOBEN T55 UGANDAN HILLBILLY WAGON
My Desert Storm figure arrived today from BNA Modelworld.
Has taken a bit of sculpting to get it together, the 120mm scale is a bit bigger than other 16th scale figures I have, so this joker had a large noggin!!
Took a fair bit of sanding to get the head into the Russian helmet, but I reckon its worth the effort.
Painting will be a challenge, to get a DPM style camo pattern on the fatigues is not a fun prospect, but I'll get it.

Re: HOOBEN T55 UGANDAN HILLBILLY WAGON
Here he is in place to check heights etc. Still need to decide on positions for his arms, but there is little range to move on them due to the way they are sculpted.
Plan is to have on hand resting on the firing handle and the other on or near the elevation handwheel.
No where near a perfect rendition of an Ugandan crewman, but there not a lot of options out there.
If anything hes too robust, the Ugandan crews seem to be quite slenderly built, but again, not much option. Hes the loader anyway, so perhaps they found a stronger guy to do the handling of the 100mm rounds!
At least hes within the near-enough ethnic look which is something.
I might have a go at the vest being of a British DPM desert style colours and his BDU's in a woodland or summer DPM if I can.
Or, I may not!!

Re: HOOBEN T55 UGANDAN HILLBILLY WAGON
The Raminator Arms Bazar dealer has come through, and Im set for all things modern!
PKM aside, I have Type 56's and AKMs/RPKs , RPGs and AKSU's out the hoo-haa!! and 100mm gun ammo crates for Africa (and WW2 models too!)
All of a sudden this tank has character and I cant wait to finish it off.
If any of you have a Technical, T72 , T90, T55 or suchlike, he has the gear for YOU
A haughty thanks to Mr Raminator for his skill, patience and dedication to create fantastic accessories for our models.

I was going to say something really politically incorrect, but I've thought better of it...I'll just say...nice work.

You're on your own with that mate, that's why I've decided never to finish anything!
A PKM and SVD are on my to-do list, that should be everything to outfit a Cold War strelki squad!HERMAN BIX wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 9:28 am The Raminator Arms Bazar dealer has come through, and Im set for all things modern!
