Hello from Wisconsin.

Might Irvlabs be Irvine Laboratories, perhaps in Irvine? Regardless, yes, you are most welcome, and indeed, while you need not reveal anything classified as secret, we are always happy to learn about what tanks you have (and hope to get) and what model building your have done, etc., etc., etc. I see from you other post that you have wrestled with at least one RC AFV, and I am hoping you get some help pronto.

Welcome from the right side of the country!
Enjoy the site. Use the Search for lots of good archived information and feel free to ask questions.
We were all new once.
As Mr. Bix said, what RC tanks interest you?

I’m so sorry, again I am new to forums and difficult to navigate and search. My apologies in advance if i May seal questions in the wrong sections
To get to the point, my gearbox on my Tamiya 1/16 leopard is binding. The motors squeal loudly when the gear box is tighten down (not hard, but slightly tightened).
When I loosen the bolts on the gear box, the motor sounds fine. I have tried to adjust everything I can. The motor, the motor mount. Etc. any ideas?

Hmm... No answer and it's two days later... Did you have any luck with a search? Maybe you could post to the "General Questions" forum, using a title such as "Tamiya Leopard Gearbox Binding." (Sorry, I have only one static Tamiya kit, so I would be of no help. But lots of others here on RCTW know Tamiya RC inside out and upside down.

Welcome from Ontario...Canada!
Has the squealing been since day 1 for the Leopard, or a new thing? Since it doesn't squeal when loosely fitted, I'd be thinking that the frame or a mount is a bit off true. I'd try fastening a pair of bolts at diagonally opposite positions. See if you get any rocking of the gearbox. Put in the remaining bolts for the mountings and slowly tighten to see at what point you get squealing. If you do, identify the bolt that is causing the squeal and shim it between the gearbox and body with thin shims, even multiple layers of paper will work. It'll be lots of trial and error, but I suspect your gearbox has a "soft foot" as they call it in the pump biz. One mount is just a teeny-tiny bit short and it needs some shimming to keep everything straight and true when tightened down.
A mechanic that was good a correcting soft foots was like gold at a water treatment plant when a new centrifugal pump was being installed.
