I occasionally drive my KV1 into a chair leg. I think I'm ready for this plane.

Very cool plane, but I prefer not to buy toys that explode into a huge fireball if they crash.

The video shows the remarkable level of realism that has been accomplished, and I get the impression that this jet and others are not custom built by hobbyists, but perhaps expensive ARTF. It also looks as if there are RC jets powered by some kind of induction fan's, even with fake flames created by rings of LEDs, and some that are really jets?!?

Yes, some are real jets (can explode and burn when crashed) while others are EDF (Electric Ducted Fans). Some of these "jets" even have sound cards and speakers to make them sound like real jets. Of course the ones with real jet engines already sound like jets by default.

One of the most impressive jet powered planes I've ever seen at scale was a huge B52 with 8 jet engines installed. At the time it was built, those hobby jet engines were running around $5,000 USD EACH. I wondered why I hadn't seen it flying at other meets...it crashed. It had $40,000 of jet engines on it.

It leaves one speachless. Ghasp! I cannot help but wonder if the transmitter was just the sort used for many other RC planes and etc.
