Welcome Breck.

I love my Panther G.

Specific to the Panther G. If you find the front of the tank sitting too low or uneven front to rear or bottoming out ya might want to check the spring setting on the suspension.

Well how about that! Welcome Breck Dandyfunk 3! I see some great advice already. (MrChef is an example of why I check this list every day I am able, sometimes more than once. Somewhat new to RCTW himself, the Chef has been a great help and provided a lot of fun, too.) I hope you can join in the fun. Keep us informed about the Panther G; ask questions; show photos. Welcome!

Thanks Chef and Herr Dr. I heard prior to buying the G that the front sits low. Thanks for the advice on spring tension. I am currently impatiently waiting the "G's" arrival!!!

Love my Panther G's, my only complaint would be that they tend to shed tracks in a turn if the rear idler isn't properly aligned 8O
(Probably serves me right for being a pedant and insisting on fitting aftermarket metal early pattern ones :/ !)

Uprated springs are available, and well worth fitting in the front and rear positions to stiffen the ends up. Parking the tank up on a block of wood is also a god idea if it starts getting a bit heavier than 'stock' - as 'The Tick' once observed "Gravity is a harsh mistress", and she will slowly fatigue your springs if they are put under excessive stress...

Great advice Tiger6, I will block it for sure when not in use!! Where can I get the springs from?

In the USA? Thats a good question...
I checked MatoMart, but they only appear to have the regular strength ones... And most of the other places I used to frequent when I lived in the US have long since closed their doors :(

Forgebear has them: https://www.forgebeartanks.com/store/p4 ... _Long.html
Haya on their Ebay store: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222124279124
RCTankLegion in Malaysia: https://www.rctanklegion.com/products/m ... spring-set

Hope this helps?

Tell a lie! I was looking in the wrong place...

Try this: https://www.matomart.com/prodview.php?p=580 (yes it says they are for Tigers, but the same spring is used across the whole HL range)

No idea how good MatoMart are these days - its been over 10 years since I used to buy from them, but never had any problems with them back then
