Welcome to the Forum,
A Sherman as a first Tank really ? I am shocked, What is wrong with a Tiger 1 ? Everyone else does.
Truthfully well done,
Do be aware that there is not a lot of internal space so that fitting and fixing items will take patience and some dexterity also with the very wide variety of different types of Sherman you would help yourself in researching the Sherman by book and U-Tube,
Trust me the more you know about a Tank the greater the satisfaction as well as enjoying the detail something that is often lost to the casual observer.

Welcome John864, from SoCal…
One bit of advice…don’t get in a big rush to complete the build, as the research and building is a big part of the enjoyment. Also, even to this day I find a lot of info from the RCtankwarfare members knowledge base, so don’t be afraid to ask questions or ask for help if you get stumped. There are tons of ideas for a Sherman builds, so good luck and have fun!

Welcome to the forum from Argyll and Bute, on the West Coast of Scotland.
Not everyone starts with a Tiger1. I had to be different, and started with a T72.

Yes, Sir! The Sherman is a great start for us 'Murricans! I agree with Burger Patrol: there's nothing wrong with enjoying the tank bone stock. Then if you want to make modifications, do the homework fun, take your time, and enjoy each little step of the way.
