Waylon: Legs and Trouble

Post by PainlessWolf »

Hey Guys
Last night, we lost Waylon, known to Herman here as 'Legs and Trouble' and the 'Beef Eating Torpedo' to old age and late stage cancer. He was our Boy for over 11yrs, keeping an eye on my Builds and occasionally destroying anything he felt was taking too much time away from his time with his Papa. I don't know what it is about March but if I'm going to lose one of my pooches, it will be in March. Once again, this Forum and the work I put myself through here will help me through this loss. My Heart is Broken and Time has again, taken away a big lug who never failed to put a smile on my face.
regards all,
Painless

Rad,
Thanks for looking in. Waylon certainly made our lives better here and we tried to always do the best for him. He is part of our family and our responsibility. Today is very Hard.

I feel your pain. We lost both our springer spaniels within two months of each other early last year. One was unfortunately killed in a traffic accident, and the second just sort of faded away, at the loss for his friend. This was just before we moved to up here in the country, which they would have really enjoyed. Both were working dogs, and loved their days to the country, but first they were pets. May Waylon chase many bunnies.

I am sorry, Painless, for I know it's painful. Even the ones that eat model parts and chase ones partner's cats are still precious. Thank you for letting us know, and by all means, should another appear, let us know pronto. Above all, you have my sincere sympathy.

Meter and Herr Doctor,
Thank you both for looking in. It is greatly appreciated. Luna, our nearly 2 yr old Greyhound had been keeping Waylon company through the illness. It's hard to watch her search the house and property looking for him now. Last night, she got up and ran into the Office to where his bed is to see if he was home. We love on her and do all that we can. When the time is right, we'll get her a friend to keep company with. Just not yet.
regards,
Painless

Sorry for your loss. The toughest part of having and loving pets...

I'm glad I got to meet him in person when he was about four.

Ecam,
Thank you for looking in. You definitely saw him during his Best Days as far as health goes. He was one of a kind.

My condolences on your loss. I feel absolutely gutted when our dogs pass on. It just never seems long enough that they share their lives with us.

Take care and remember the wags,

Mike.
