Re: IBU2U Turret connector
re-reading your post, I confirm that it is not the "airsoft" recoil micro switch that will control the recoil servo, it's just on your transmitter, a switch or a handle, but I persist, there is no recoil on an "airsfot" just the elevation, but the same, command from transmitter.
the micro switch, is only used to cut off the power supply to the Tir BB motor, or if a flash is in the barrel, to establish contact to trigger the flash, and if I remember correctly, must also control the sound of the shot?

Hi Jofaur
Thanks again for the info, now the Airsoft canon works. The Taigen turret I have has recoil operated by a servo.
It is disconnected at the moment while I fit a fpv camera to the mantlet.

Re: IBU2U Turret connector
S oh yes, sorry, had forgotten this system, but then there is a flash in the barrel? if so, Xenon or Led
In the case of Xenon, there is, in principle, a 5-pin plug with a small 2-pin plug, which comes with the microswitch plug
if xenon see photo below in red/green, airsoft microswitch, in green 5-pin CN3
if system with led, see quick diagram below and unless I am mistaken, there is a general configuration on the PC to perform? It is also possible to modify servo courses, etc. or trigger the shot, with a switch from the transmitter menu!!!!

Re: IBU2U Turret connector
Hi Jofaur
My unit is an Airsoft unit and does not have a flasher. As far as I can make out the IBU2 uses the Airsoft switch to synchronise both the canon sound and the recoil action. In the IBU2 config file all the recoil functions can be adjusted, that is speed forward and back as well as the end positions for the movement. Now when I fire the canon it fires continuously instead of only once also there is no firing sound output or recoil action, this points to the IBU2 board not getting a signal from the Airsoft switch. I will investigate this today.

Re: IBU2U Turret connector
yes but in the case where the recoil is carried out by the intermediary of the servo, do you see the micro switch making contact? as it is normally powered by the airsoft motor?

Hi Jofaur
You are spot on with your suspicions about the Airsoft switch. I dismantled the Airsoft unit and found that there is a gear with two broken teeth. This means that the switch does not get activated every time. I have ordered another Airsoft unit and will find out if that is the problem when it arrives.

Yes Sir it is.
A whispered is a term sometimes used to describe a person that has a strange almost magical way of communicating with an object that actually cannot communicate!!
An often used term for those that have intuitive abilities to troubleshoot problems with equipment
