So this King was a Christmas gift this year. Just another HL King Tiger Pro. I upgraded the PE grenade screens, some metal tow shackles and other bits. Stock paint weathered, metal wheels, sprockets, idlers painted and weathered, tracks blued and weathered. I kept it simple like it just came out of the box.I'm going to be dangerous one day when I get an airbrush. Enjoy and thanks again in advance for letting me share.

The camouflage paint looks good the way you weathered it! There have been various discussions of track blueing here on RCTW. How did you do yours?

Thank you sir. So to tweak the stock HL paint I applied a tan paint filter from Ammo by Mig for tri-tone camouflage which tones down the 3 colors and unifies them,

For the metal track bluing. I did alot of searching and watching modeling videos. Several of the better model paint companies make fluid for this purpose but it tends to be expensive and is packaged in small containers for smaller modeling. I learned about products used in the firearms industry for whats called bluing which actually gives the gun a black coating. I've used a couple of products like this but I like "Oxphoblue" from Brownells https://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tool ... d1072.aspx Its easily half the price of the other modeling stuff and comes in different sized containers. I got a 32 Oz bottle last December on sale. Plenty left for at least 3 more sets of tracks. Sooo you know what means.

Ok so this tank started with the stock Heng Long paint job. I just modified it with different modeling paint techniques. The only RC tank that I have that I've scratch painted is my KV1. I do not own an airbrush yet so any spray painting is done with spray cans. Now I have researched doing camouflage patterns using modeling putty mask designed for this purpose but I haven't tried it yet. So I didn't paint the base or camouflage on the above King Tiger I just tweaked and weathered it. I did however paint the wheels and running gear from raw metal as well blued the metal tracks.

I hope that's more clear? If not LMK.

Hello :)
thank you very much, for the information, I don't have an airbrush either, and I admit that painting, is not my favorite thing ... I aged a KT with spray and brushes, ( I don't even dare to show it) I have to admit, that you have a certain dexterity, anyway? to achieve this result

No worries at al. I will always share anything I have experience with.

Ok, first this is the bluing product that I've had the best experience with from Brownells online: https://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tool ... d1072.aspx

Here is a link to an excellent modeler on Youtube called Night Shift. I've watched so many of his helpful videos over and over. This video he illustrates how to Blacken/Blue metal tracks. He is using a different product but the process is almost the same and just as easy if not easier since the Oxpho blue is only 1 step: https://youtu.be/rcL3DyKDgAk

Thank you for the help on "blueing" tracks. "Nightshift" has been mentioned a number of time here on RCTW, and I think I have seen some of his videos, but I will check that out, too.
