Sometime lurker for the past couple of years. I finally decided to join up here. I begin by thanking you guys for the information I've already gleamed silently. I made the decision to join the ranks in November 2021 with my first RC tank, I got hooked and 4 more followed in 2022. Now I'm making plans for what's next.

Chef,Welcome to the Forum
There appears to be assumptions that you are building a battalion of Sherman's although I cannot see any particular Tank type listed so please put us out of our misery,
Whether it be Sherman's, Tigers or Abrams or whatever enjoy this place and do ask lots of questions.

So to answer the inevitable questions, Yes I am really a Chef. I work in the private country club part of the industry so these months are downtime. I have some rich and famous members and have met more while working over the years which is pretty cool. I've had several hobbies before but just recently gotten into the RC tank genre. I have always been an avid student of military history and particularly Tanks, Armor and WWII. Ironically I was encouraged recently to pick up a new hobby by my wife of all people.

I am located in the lower Hudson Valley of New York. It's usually snow season but this year has been mild. Today is 40 F and partly sunny so I was able to do some clearcoating on one of my tanks that I recently finished.

Pardon me for the way I reveal but I thought it would be more interesting if I take a different approach than usual. I have 1 Taigen Metal BB, 3 Heng Long Pro and 1 Heng Long "S" models. All have been weathered, some upgraded and/or modded. I have a hard time leaving anything stock and I love taking time adjusting and tinkering things to my liking plus the painting and weathering part is relaxing and satisfying. I just started taking pics of them recently and am trying to figure out how to upload the pics here to share. Any advice with that is welcome and of course would accelerate the reveals.

I'm relatively handy and anything I've done with my "Models" because my wife calls them "Toys", I've learned from Forums, Websites, Videos and You guys. Sometimes I figure out how to do something by myself but usually I find out afterward that someone else did it before me, LoL...

That is if the Firefly could hit it...they weren't known for their accuracy even with that long arse barrel...
