Looking to buy a 3D printer for my boyfriend for his birthday in March and just wondering if anybody has any advice on the best one to get and everything I will need to get with it. Thanks in advance.

I wonder if you have checked out the "3D Printing" section of the Forum?
just scroll down the menu.

Do you want FDM or resin? When are you next at Grantham, I can bring some along to look at...

Resin I think is probably best. We’ll be up in Grantham for the meet in March.

You'll need the printer:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/ELEGOO-Photocu ... th=1&psc=1

A wash and curing station:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/ELEGOO-Mercury ... C79&sr=1-6

Or curing station only if you stick with water based resin:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/ELEGOO-Mercury ... C79&sr=1-4

IPA for washing (unless you stick with water based resins)

Resin (as an example, others are available):
https://www.amazon.co.uk/ELEGOO-405nm-R ... WW9W&psc=1

Gloves, as this stuff can be nasty:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Unigloves-Powd ... 8L3C&psc=1

A respirator would also be a good idea as well (IPA fumes are not to be messed around with!):
