Taigen T34 turret traverse inoperative.

My T34 runs great and makes all of the right noises but the turret has stopped traversing. It still makes the noise but it doesn't move.
I've spotted a red and black wire hanging free but plugging them into the main board didn't achieve anything. Can anyone help please ?

What I always do: look after the turret motor and identify the color of the cables that are attached to it. Then follow the color of the cables back to the main board. There are two connectors related to the tower in the tank: one on the board - big connector and a so called upper hull daughter connector. Check if these connectors are ok and that they are attached properly. See
https://www.taigentanks.com/pages/manuals-diagrams. Check also if the wires are firmly attached into the connectors.

Hello, can you tell where the other end of these two wires is connected? Do you use a 360° rotation system? does your turret motor work? seems not, according to your explanations?

For your information, here is the original wiring diagram (excluding the 360° rotation system) the colors of the wires correspond to the 8-wire cord and pins taken from the upper chassis and 2.4 Ghz plate, after which did you install the wire rotation system? or bought like this?

Thanks for your help guys - it's all sorted now thanks to your valuable input. I must admit I was flapping a bit when it wouldn't work.
In the end I was convinced that I'd found the correct socket for the loose plug to go into and then I remembered that the other day I'd knocked the barrel and the turret mech did a click. I forced it back 1 click today and hey presto it's now as good as new. I don't know why that should have stopped it working but thank goodness it's all fine now. Thanks again for your guidance.

The loose wires look like your smoker.

"...the turret mech did a click. I forced it back 1 click today and hey presto it's now as good as new. I don't know why that should have stopped it working." That puzzles me, too: since you have a 360 degree turret, it should just continue rotating. I wonder if it jammed tooth-atop-tooth. Regardless, hearing that click makes one cringe with fear of money flying away.

If you are using the standard HL plastic rotation gearboxes then the turret can be turned by hand. There is a nasty clicking sound as you do it, but it does have a clutch mechanism in it to allow this movement. I wouldn't try it if you are using the all metal turret rotation gearboxes though as they do not have this "clutch" built in. I do prefer the all metal ones though as they are quieter and a tad faster in the rotation RPMs. I have noticed on a few occasions that a wire will sometimes get caught on the turret rotation gear. That may be why yours stuck. Inspect the wires and look for one that has the outer sheath marred up. It could also simply have been just a fluke.

I did whince when I knocked it intially and heard that clicking noise - thankfully it's ok otherwise I wouldn't be ab;e to enjoy the new year celebrations!
