Hello and thank you for the warm welcome.
My name is Kevin and I live about a hour west of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
While I have ZERO experience with RC tanks, I have been researching and modeling German WW2 armor for over 30 years.
I bought a Heng Long King Tiger last Christmas on a whim and thought I would try modifying and painting it to bring a bit more accuracy to it. I posted a few photos of it over on the Hobby Squawk site and a few kind gentlemen encouraged me to enter it here in the Tank of the Month contest.
I plan to pick up a Jagdpanther or Panther G this Christmas and do the same thing.
I have already seen some really great work here and I am looking forward to seeing a lot more.

Yes! I could see from your TOTM entry that you have modeling experience. You might be interest in some rather recent threads here on RCTW: some of the wizards are starting to model partial interiors in 1/16 RC tanks.

I have too many German tanks (and farm models, and trains, and airplanes), but there is one little matter between us 'murricans: the Sherman; you need a Sherman (actually five or more to take care of that King Tiger). In fact, a Pershing or two might help.

Welcome along Mr 331. You certainly have made a grand entrance !
The best thing about an RC model is it can be started up & animated on a whim.
I do encourage you to get the others you desire and definitely share that with us all if you dont mind .
I've have been to your fair City of Philadelphia, and also Pittsburgh.
I went to see the Liberty Bell & the Declaration etc............(no I didnt do the Rocky thing on the steps

)
Spent 14 days in Westchester P.A. at the Schramm plant & visited what Im sure was every reputable bar(and some that weren't) in the district.
Visited The Valley Forge national park and walked the lot(labour weekend it was) then drove down to the Gettysburg Memorial and Hershey factory over that time.
Went via the back roads to Aberdeen Proving Grounds & almost rear-ended an Amish horse & cart

being warned about them is no less of a shock coming across one when you are on the wrong side of the road in a car thats build backwards

!!
Love Westchester............I could move there tomorrow.

Good evening Kevin.
Another forum member in Pennsylvania! WooHoo! An hour west of Philly puts you close to my backyard (Ephrata).
Looking forward to seeing your future models.
