My favourite MBT is actually completely fictitious.

It comes from the Universe of Command and Conquer and is the Soviet Apocalypse Tank. A few months ago I found out that Border started making a model for this.

So once the singles day offers kicked in I ordered one with the plan to make it completely RC.

As I have been playing around with arduino and electronics I've got the chance to make something pretty unique. I'll be able to nab the sounds from the game to use and eventually start making some new IR games that I cannot implement in 1/16 due to the sheer scale.

I have a bunch of 1/48 models to covert to RC (and C&C scenarios). The scale of 1/35 works well due to the sheer size of the apocalypse tanks in the game. I can also use some of my wargaming buildings and constructs.

For now his is some box art to wet your appetite. It'll be a slow build as I have a new born and a very attention consuming 4 year old. However I'll bring her in having already painted her a RC 1/72 M1A1. I do have a 1/48 K1A1 to build her so she can battle with me though with the apocalypse)

As I understand it, the Apocalypse tank is an updated version of the Mammoth tank. One of our members (Munty) started building one in 1/16 back in 2011, and his build might give you some ideas for yours.

It's a real shame he didn't see it through completed. There is only a few of these actually completed including one toy:

However really good effort especially getting it 1/16. I don't think I've got the space or resources to try anything that big....
