Hi All,
My name is Lexa, Remember that Tom Boy girl in the neighborhood who liked trucks, trains, worked on motorcycles, always had grease on her face and never fit in with the other girls. Well that's me all grown up and still the same. Anyway, one of the things my two sons and I are into is 1/16 R/C tanks. It all started when I found a slightly used very upgraded HL King tiger for sale and picked it up for about half the original price. A tiny bit of work here and there on her and she was good as new. This was the start. That multiplied into about twenty or so tanks, 14 of them being KT's of different manufactures. We are working on detailing them a bit and repainting them to represent real historical tanks as close as we can without going completely crazy. The king Tigers in Berlin at the end of the war interests us a lot. I have lots of questions regarding paint colour, types, after market detail parts, home made detail parts, pretty much any info on King Tigers i can get my hands on. So that's about it for now. Thanks, Lexa

Thank you for doing an introduction: I see you have been "lurking" for about 18 months, so it's great to hear from you. Wow! "twenty or so tanks, 14 of them being KT's of different manufacturers" I would enjoy seeing photos of your 14 different King Tigers! You're w-a-a-y ahead of me! Ask questions all you want. I and so many others here on RCTW have books on the Königstiger.

Hi. Given you can spell colour correctly, are you in the UK? If so there may be a meet somewhere fairly local: that way you can see what others are up to, and get/share some tips.

Hello Gentleman,
Thank you for the warm welcome and awesome replies. I am dreadfully sorry But I do not live in the UK but in the south east part of the States. I do hope this does not get me kicked out. My spelling and pronouncing English is entirely another long story. I have never met anyone face to face who has a interest in R/C tanks so good thing there's the Internet. I'm going to see the best way to upload pics so that I can convey questions and post progresses better.
Thank you again for making me feel welcome.

Me being a "frightful Antipodean" allows me to welcome along "An Awful Colonial" !!
Very warm welcome along from the Gold Coast of Australia out of New Zealand.
A hark back to the good old days of the 'Great Empire' that I really do still identify with. :shh: :shifty:

Any interest in this tank thing we share is a good thing, regardless of it origin !
I would regard your collection as a quintessential reference for all things King Tiger, and it would be fantastic to see a few pictures of them when/if you can.
Great to have you along
