Looking forward to future developments. I have had my eye on the Ludwig kit for a while but it uses PZIV tracks which just don't look right.. There are also a few inaccuracies with the Ludwig version such as the road wheels and missing slot vents in the mantlet that I have been pondering how to fix. This look like it would address those issues.
Being really selfish, it would be great to have the option for later production features like the low-profile cupola and hinges on the running gear access panels but those are fairly easy mods.

Sure, here are a few examples. This tank also has some modifications that were only used by the Australians in the Pacific such as the armored track shields on the front and the turret ring guards. Those mods wouldn't be necessary for any other theater of the war. You can also see the different 'spud' style tracks. These were introduced quite early on as the other design was prone to clogging with dirt and losing traction. Note also the removal of the vents from the front of the tank. These were found to suck a lot of dust into the crew compartment and were quickly deleted. Removing these would be a very easy mod for anyone building a later model tank though.

As you can see, the cupola is very similar in design, just lower.

And here are the hinges on the access panels. I think these came into production in 1941.

The Haynes Matilda Enthusiasts Manual is a fantastic resource and highly recommended. It has a lot of great photos, some line drawings and a solid history on the development and service of the tank: https://tankmuseumshop.org/products/mat ... sts-manual

Ok thank you so much! I pass the information to mr Stefano, so he can make easily the other version. Now he’s working on the side hull to make the wheels with big thickness.

Hello everybody. Here some news. At the moment Mr Stefano have printed again the side hull, wheels and the idler sprocket with some adjustments. And he’s preparing the Late version and a website that it should be ready for the new year. Once me and Stefano test the Matilda, it should be available for everyone. The late version will be available on request.
