After thinking for a long time finally gone for the T-28 super heavy tank. Which I am hoping to build with tamiya Sherman HVSS parts. Most will have to be scratch built but currently searching the globe for parts.
Built this from scratch still needs a bit of finishing. Now have 15 more to go lol.

What a great project! I am rootin' for you all the way1
I am sorry the booster knocked you down. I had the same five times, but no hospital trips at all.
If the T28 does not use the shock absorber, is there none at all?

Managed to obtain 8 C bags from a tamiya 56014 sherman from germany for wheels and some parts of suspension and 12 ML1 suspension supports (2 x 9415501) from US does anyone know where i can get the 4 more i require please?. Back up plan is to make a mound and cast in resin have tried on some spare parts and seems to be strong enough using some good quality german resin i have. The tyres are cut down and glued tamiya leopard A2 ones as sherman tyres seem no existent.
Update have found the supports on the
https://tamico.de/ site but minimum order to UK is 165 Euros !! so not really not doable Shame as prices seem good

- Testing a mock up of the suspension setup with tracks on one of 2 Sherman base lower hulls

Yes I know but really wanted to do something different.the lower hull is to be constructed from 2 Sherman lower hulls with quite a few mods required. To start the spacing is bigger than the Sherman. Awaiting delivery of a 1:35th kit which I will use as reference.

Using Heng long Pershing tracks X3 sets and metal drive wheels and plastic idlers with Heng long steel gearboxes thanks Dave from Forgebear tanks ( excellent service once again) slightly too wide but easy cheaper option so I think they are close enough. Once other side is complete will give it a really good run round the garden to see if I can break it before striping and painting properly. There the fun starts trying to scratch build the body.
