T-55 Hooben Old version out of the box...

Post by Pavel »

Old version out of the box...
One of the first, with low-quality casting, defective parts, in the hole for the gun barrel, where a mouse can still crawl...
And the most offensive of plastic that does not want to be glued, I used dichloroethane ....
I'll show you what I did as soon as I can...

A great start with the rough old kit, Pavel. I especially like your plumbing for the external fuel tanks!

I'm a big fan of any T-54/55 so I'll be keeping an eye on this.

I will try.... :D
I do it in parts when I'm in the mood...
Sometimes I give up, then I switch to other details.
Tomorrow I’ll show you an unfinished DShK machine gun, I wanted to buy a ready-made one (for sale, well made), but the price ..... I can’t afford what I can do myself ...
I replaced the gearboxes, installed bearings and my oil seals, proven over the years (I showed them in the Challenger 2 thread)
Made track tensioner....

The driver's hatch opens by pressing it, under it there is a "on-off" button with fixation and when pressed, the button raises the hatch cover and it can be taken aside ...
The machine gun has not yet been completed, everything is in the process.
Slightly improved the attachment of additional tanks.
I tried to bring the oil tank to a state similar to the original ...

Something I didn’t like Hooben’s version of ammo boxes ....
Maybe my version is far from the original, but a little better than the stock version...
I made the mount of the pencil case for underwater movement from metal, I was already pretty tired of breaking it off ...
