Hi Guys, Long time lurker here from West Yorkshire UK, Got back into kit building a few years ago now when the kids upped and off. I was spending months building large scale plane kits that I always lusted after in the 1970s. built a couple of 35th tanks as a kid but for some reason it was always prop planes that was my main subject, anyway I pretty much reached burn out with a 24th Hellcat build last summer, working prop motor, engine speaker, kit lights etc and after about 6 months my other half was like why don't you build something different? but will still tick the right boxes so she bought me a Tam KT full option...well that was October last year and now I am completely hooked on RC armour, its such an amazingly fun hobby. My 2 grandsons love having a tank battle on the back garden, 6 & 4 year olds do tend to test them to destruction, so I it keeps me busy repairing collateral damage;) :wtf:
I have still got a couple of Tam FO projects on going and am slowly trying to get into more custom builds, small steps as they say... latest TAM KV2 had a smaller speaker fitted to give the room for a GI smoker which to be honest I don't think that I have set it up correctly as it doesn't seem to smoke much...not to worry sure that I will get my head around it. I am hoping to have a mess around with sound boards next :/ so am trawling through everything on the forum. I love all the extra goodies that seem to be available for tank stuff, 3D printed parts are soooo clever. Anyway I am on with a TAM Abrams with some Tusk 2 bits so this builds going quite slowly.
Just want to say thanks to all the people who have helped me out with bits over 2022, sorry if I have missed anyone but in no particular order

Welcome. Depending on where you are in West Yorkshire there's a meet in Hyde (over the border) or Grantham.

Hello from a long way away across the ocean. Thank you for such a fine introduction. You certainly are welcome. I'd bet that most of us here on RCTW have built other models; perhaps a few have even taken on the 1/24 Hellcat. (I know a few modelers here in the States who have drooled over it, but not built is yet.)

First of all, if your wife bought you a Tamiya Full Option Königstiger, she is one to love! (That and she has learned how to keep you out of her hair. :haha:)

There is a place here for photos of your F6F, and at least I would enjoy seeing it: viewforum.php?f=85. And by all means photos of your AFVs and more are welcome.
