Yes and I am very attached to this model. A little paint job and some repair work to the body and it would be presentable ;) But that won't happen as I like it as is

The photo shows a tie strap mod for holding the GB together instead of gluing it together. This mod makes the Gearbox "Hobby Grade"

Testing the M4 HT proves this mod and the GB screw mount works great.

Upload of pictures taking a while but soon as they are available I will update this post

You need to beat up that German Halbkettenfahrzeug a bit so it looks as good as your old M4. :lolno: @)

My M4 HT has worked good until recently on my new indoor R\C test track, the M4 started to have "Sprocket track slippage" due to the 40+º incline run on my proving ground track. I realized the track tension shifted as the flexible glue I used to hold the MTM gearbox in place was not sufficient to hold the Sprocket\track tension under this extreme loading.

So I added a 1 screw tension mount to the MTM Gearbox and problem solved 8)

I will add a video of the M4 climbing the track ASAP

I am not particularly strong in electronics, more precisely, it is often difficult to read the datasheet (English is not my native language). I think DRV8833 will not fit, what do you think?
So far, I have only learned how to design boards in EasyEDA, and then with the help of an autorouter.

I ordered these ESCs to control the RC outputs from the board:

I ordered some of those 3 amp 1s Esc's and got them today. These look pretty small and will let all know how they work. I also ordered some micro dual ESC's and now after seeing them are impressed how small they are.

The one on the left is the one shown above, I will be testing these for use in my models but I am really excited about the one on the right! That is a DUAL ESC with mixer for tanks or tracked vehicles

I finally got the other M2 Half track running. This one is a Testers model and is not as detailed as the Tamiya but still pretty cool as a RRC HT.

This Testers M2 was available with running tracks at one point. those are the tracks that came with it and they work very good.

short video of the new HT running on my new track.

One on the right is the Testers HT. Is not as scale as the Tamiya but I like it all the same.

After the MTM gearbox is up and working with both poly tracks, I will upgrade the model to "Hobby Grade" DP radio remote control. As it is now, it is "Toy Grade" radio remote control with crude "Escapement" steering.

Here are some videos for this build...

Greetings Captain Morgan, I finally got some of those ESC's myself and will be evaluating them soon.

Meanwhile, here are some updates to this thread. A new Half track is added to the fleet. It is the same one that was shown in this thread in the background. It is a Testers model from the local drugstore.

the Arizona models escapement steering box was upgraded to a HQ micro servo in place of the coil escapement using the same frame as it contains robust steering components ready to use. So I am using the left over parts from the Upgraded M4 HT to build up the Testers model but with improvements and mods rto those leftover parts.Recycle i say!

Congratulations! I follow your progress on YouTube. I also received them a long time ago, I checked how they would work with my mini version of the OpenPanzer board.
In general, they showed themselves to be efficient.
