Just acquired a vintage tamiya leopard 1 A4 in pieces and my question is should should I keep or ditch the original single motor set up with clutches etc or upgrade to more modern twin motor gearboxes. Is this a rare tank as I cannot seem to find any parts for it anywhere.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I've successfully been able to operate my single motor dual clutch Tamiya King Tiger on an IBU2 for several years now. I believe the transmission setup is similar if not the same. Hope this helps

Thanks Carl that's helpful I think my first job is to see if the drive all works ok then decide, I am leaning towards changing to more modern drive arrangement as that will be a fairly cheap solution as I may have all the bits for that already.
