Paint ball battle

Hi all. My self and my father inlaw were thinking of having a battle with our BB tanks using the paint ball BB's you can get. I was wondering if any one had used these BB's and if they were any good? is the paint easy to clean off? I also thought that if our battle goes well, it could become a fun event for more people to get involved in, especialy those of us who cant afford IR systems and just have the BB tanks. What do y'all think?

Don't do it,they will fire and are fine until the one that jams. Then you have a mess.Creeping Death has been working on a new turret that fires paintball only,I have been working on my turret for three months,It's a long story so here is the short version, three different turret from C/D all had wiring issues, mine was most likely the last old design,When I received the last turret,Shelby@C/D told me where to buy the gun he uses to achieve 170fps,I did this then machined a Tamiya barrel, and machined the stock C/D barrel to slide inside the TAMIYA barrel at recoil, the T barrel has a tapered bore that the C/D BARREL mates with to achieve perfect alignment, the T barrels bore is several thousands over size so paintball ammo will fire, now here is the problem, some paintball ammo gets soft in the feed, mainly due to the heat here in Tennessee, anyway busted in the breech what a mess.Stock H/L will fire 6mm Paintball but their is the chance of missfire or rather missfeed, then you have a mess,C/D is already several months behind releasing his paintball system.Go to their website and read what is posted.I have just reassembled my gun,I have never had this gun to work the way C/D designed it to work,so soon I may no if all will work, but as far as paintball, the problem is feed and the plunger shaft hitting the paintball to hard and breaking it.Go for it because when it works it's to much fun, when it breaks it is a mess.I will PM you if this new gun is released,I have been promised a new gun for all the trouble with the old system they sold me,their old gun had a good rep,it was just mine sucked, over 250dollars wasted. When they release new gun I will post A DEMO sax

I supose the only way to know is to get some paint balls and fire a couple of rounds off. Would you say keeping the BB's cool would be of an advantage? If they were kept refrigirated until the battle? My Bull dog holds about 10 BB's, which, if used conservitably, would last about 5mins, or would they end up being too hard?

If your tank has a matte painted finish, it's hard to get all of the coloring off, especially if it's painted dark yellow and you're using red paintballs.   The coloring gets into nooks and crannies like hinges and it's hard to wipe off completely.  It's not the sort of thing you do to a tank that you've invested a lot of effort on the finish.

It also doesn't hose off of fences and other stuff very easily.  Ever test splat I've put on our fence, tool shed & statuary is still there, 2 months later!

I was using the .12 gram "Precision Ground Premium Paintballs", which came in red.

Good hit on the turret there ;D How about powder filled BB's? does any one make any thing like that? Ive found some full size ones for paint ball guns so there are some sort of 'powder balls' out there.

Their are these little bags called snap and pop for kids that blow up when you throw them on the ground, thought about trying to make ammo out of these but just never followed through, sax
