Hi Guys
Another set of pictures of another truck we have been working on.

The truck has been worked on by a couple of us on here on the forum.
Some changes have been made, mainly because i'm mad and always need far too much power haha

Still a Work In Progress, big thankyou to Martin for making such a good truck

to give an idea of scale or this truck, here it is up against the WCP Models 1/16 251 halftrack!

Some people are going to ask what power is it going to run!
Well it will use a good tried and tested method of Dual 370 motors, however this time they will be configured to run thru a transfer case and drive together in a 6x4 configuration
The rear axles are not going to have any differentials in order to make the truck perform on lose and bumpy surfaces(nothing too extreme).
This will be used to haul an M9 trailer with a metal Sherman on board, so it needs to have grunt.
It will be a capable of 2s or 3s lipo running. Although i dare say with a 4s lipo you could do some amazing burnouts with it and donuts!

I might need to re-engineer the tow hitch a little as it is going to take some abuse if it is to haul such a weight.

Keep a look out for more pictures as it pieces together

As can be seen it is being constructed with Resin SLA parts and FDM parts.
The main chassis features an aluminium u channel for strength.
It is then bolted and glued together. The chassis is particularly strong and well built.
The resin parts mean alot of details like the chequer plate can be brought to life.

I love the Diamond T but are you really going to build an M9 45 tonne 24 wheeled trailer ?
I have wet dreams of that combination :haha: :{
I have no idea where I could display it but I want one.
The downside is I have no WW2 British or American armour so I would need to address that particular shortcoming. :haha:

Yes i am damn well going to try and make the M9 trailer :)
We might have to get creative with the tyre count to make it work as a scale model and keep the cost low enough. But from the sides it will be made to look like the real thing (in scale)

The Diamond T is part of a commission build and the trailer was part of that deal, but i am yet to start designing a trailer, so it will come later

Some updates
Decided i couldn't find a suitable drive unit to allow this beauty to haul some suitable tanks and trailer unit, so designed my own

Dual 370 motors to power the truck in 6x4 configuration via a transfer case and house it in the chassis

Getting some primer on aswell slowly but surely

Sized up against a famo chassis for length(the Famo comes later, but thee trucks were big prime movers

How about a liberated German tank on the trailer?

Very nice - a friend of mine owns one of these. Big trucks. You should look at Ward la France wreckers as well.
