Hey folks,

I can’t remember if posted this built yet, if I have I couldn’t find it!

So this is something a bit different. I’ve always liked the 76mm t34 versions and when I had the chance to pick up an early stage project of one I jumped at it.

It uses the henglong t34 chassis with the suspension arms lowered, henntec idler adjuster added, hl steel gears, metal tracks and the proper early dished wheels.

I want to try and retain as much of the interior as possible as the hatches give a good view and it seemed a shame to waste it. Also who doesn’t like a moving cannon breach!

A firewall from further back in the hull has been moved forward to make a bullhead for the drivers compartment and the battery, speaker etc sits between this in the gearbox.

Will from WCP models made me up a speaker box to fit perfectly in the available space whilst being low enough to not interfere with the rotation.

In the turret I’ve retained the elevation, recoil and flash. To get them fitting without being too obvious I mounted them hanging down under the breach block.

The turret interior has been mostly retained with the exception of the cannon triggers which hung down too far.

Nice work Tom. Saw it on the US forum.

Herman, if you look closely I think it's the Trumpeter turret having been painted a looong time ago?

Great build. My priorities are more in line with the ability to battle rather than have an interior, but I always envy folks that can have it R/C and all the bits inside.

Bravo, Tom! Some years ago (5? 6? 7?) I gave a static T-34 76 to a friend. Pardon me while I now kick myself seven times.

I love those wheels! Wanted them for my.build but was not sure if the plastic would have been strong enough.

They are strong enough especially when you put bearings in them.

That’s usually my focus, believe me if I could have gotten ir gear in I would have done, alas that was a step too far on this one. I hope when I do the jagdtiger I will.

I have got an rcta piranha apple with integrated emitter, if I could figure a way of mounting that would have been a good option in this situation.
