The World of Cricket lost probably the finest Wicket keeper of the modern game yesterday.
Rodney Marsh,
He was a keeper par excellance but he was ever mindful that he was out in the field to not only play but to entertain and he certainly amused the Home spectators when playing the MCC,
His "Sledging" was legendary although his well directed comments were sometimes received surprisingly positively especially by an unlikely man who became a very close mate, Sir I T Botham,
The English cricket team gained his talents when after retiring he became an English selector followed by a period of time as a selector for the Australian team,
