Gearbox upgrade

Hi, I upgraded my tiger 1 ( model3818) 27 kHz. When I came to run the tank the right handjoystick operated thus...left and right stick became forward and backwards and forward and back stick became right and left. All my internals are hard wires so the only change I made was soldering the new motors.
The internal receiver is a hardwired rx13, I think
Can anybody help me.

Hello there.
I think the collective may need a tad more information to give a correct diagnostic.
But while you wait for some helpful replies, it would be handy if you were to pop on over the the introduce yourself section and give up a little knowledge about yourself and your level of connection to the hobby.
That serves in two ways, one, to help us know your level of knowledge, and two, a bit like offering a beer for our trouble if you get my meaning.

When you push the stick forward, does it turn left or right?
And when you push the stick left, does it drive forwards or backwards?

Swap your wires around on the left hand gear box

You have used two new motors for a newer M F U. They're not always wired the exact same way around within the control board, I'm guessing this is so. And as you've followed the colour coding from the motors the same as the original, it has caused the problem.
After saying that, there is every chance they could have meant to be the same and interchangeable, but wired wrongly at the factory.

With a pair of Heng Long gearboxes, one motor turns clockwise, and the other anti-clockwise to go forwards (can't remember which way around), purely by the way they're wired. It is also a possibility you had two motors meant for the right-hand gearbox fitted in each box.

Hi cheers,
Is it a matter of reversing polarity of connection or are you saying that I should connect the motors crossing right motor wires to left wires off the board and the left motor wires to the right wires coming off the board maintaining live and neutral connection
Red to red and black to black polarity

Just change the polarity of the left gearbox motor.

Both wires are live and neutral depending on which direction you're driving your tank. It makes no difference to the motor, which wire feeds its insatiable appetite for power. The only thing that makes any difference to a motors direction, is that motors run better one way or the other.
