If you look at the pictures hopefully you can notice the one idler wheel on the right side of looking from the back is out of alignment with the rest of the road wheels. Is there a adjustment for this? Or do I have to come up some custom way to shim it or return it to taigen? There just doesn’t seem to be a lateral type of adjustment that I can notice.

How about a photo taken from the bottom showing both sides in one view. The angle of the photo seems a tad different between the two photos. Have you installed the tracks yet?

No not yet, waiting for gearboxes to come in. Okay I’ll take some more photos

The last photo is the other side that is sitting correctly to show a comparison

Have you tried loosening the grub screw and seating the idler a little further inboard? Just a wild guess. I have the exact same set up without troubles. Makes me want to go look at mine.

The little set screws? Yeah I tried that I can’t get it to go in further

Well, I’m stumped. I would make sure that there is no metal burrs or flash on the idler that would keep it too far outboard. Sorry I’m no help. Good luck.

Looks like there is still space behind the idler to the arm that carries it.
Take the grub screw right out.
Gently file or run a same size drill bit through the hole in the arm by hand to ensure its clear.
Measure the length of the shaft from the inner face of the idler to the inside of the arm, the axle should NOT protrude any further through the axle than that.
if it does go through the hole all the way, and interferes with the body of the model, shorten the axle to be certain the idler goes flush against the arm.

Hope you sort it.

Thanks for the replies fellas, when I get some time this evening I will probably take apart the idler/tensioner system and do what you recommend Herman. (Good idea) Then assemble everything and see how it sets up.

Okay so I took some of it apart and ran a drill in the holes for the idler wheel axles and then took my dremel and shaved it a little on bottom in hopes of making the idler tilt more vertically. It’s still not as good as the other side but it has improved. Now I guess I just need to know if this should be a “allowable” amount. I’m sorry I don’t know why my pictures post sideways but here’s some more to show. There’s a picture of the right side which is the side I’m not happy with and also the left for a comparison.
