WW1 Mk 4 Tank

Tamiya makes (or made) a 1:35 scale model of the British Mk 4 WW1 tank. One of three versions incorporated radio control and two motors. I bought one and had constant problems with the r/c equipment. The transmitter died and it took months for Tamiya to replace it. later, either the second transmitter or the main function board died. it ended up on a shelf in a static diorama.
I have been using Heng Long's 1:30 r/c tanks as a resource to animate a number of 1:16 scale small tank models - Takom's PzKpfw 1A, 1B, 1 Breda and Renault FT. I've taken the motor/gearboxes, the main board, lights, speaker and lipo battery as appropriate. Heng Long makes a Sherman and a Pershing in this scale.
On a quiet day it occurred to me that the electronics would probably fit in the Mk 4. In short order, I resurrected the tank, which also enabled a sound function. Of course, the sound is not "accurate", but it is better than silence! If anyone out there has the same tank and it's inoperable, $50 will make it run.
