There being a shortage of British tanks I decided to have go. This is my first attemp at a scratch built tank, it has a full rx-18 kit inside, so unfortunately sounds like a Tiger. I mounted the on/off switch under the rear hatch alongside a recharging socket, and put the volume control and smoke switch under the large hatch. The sprockets and idlers are too large, from a PzIII, and the running wheels are modified Tiger wheels. The metal tracks are from a PzIV plus a section from a PzIII to lengthen them. Other than that I tried to keep it as close as I could.

Really excellent work Sax. I would certainly like to see a build thread for that beauty...

Cheers

Great work. Looks like a Cromwell to me. 99% of people would not even know that the wheels are just a little off.

The detail and look of your tank is first class, again very well done

thanks all for the kind words and for those that want build detail -
-the tank itself is made from plasticard of varying thicknesses
-the sizes I got from measuring lots of photos
-turret motor and ring are from an HL PzIII, as is the elevation motor
-suspension is Tiger
-the muzzle brake I had to make
-metal track from Forgebear
and some of the build photos I took, they're not the best as I never meant to show them.

Hi This always the problem with scratch builds tracks an sprockets if these were available it would make it allot easy-er to make British tanks, excellent build can hardly tell they arent the correct tracks and sprockets good choice, and nice detail to the tank.
