Re: 18th December Challenger 3 build ...update
I love what you are doing but cant offer anything other than praise for the work I'm afraid.
I can tell though that the difference between the Chally 2 turret and yours is significant.
Hopefully a few of the modern MBT experts will chime in soon

Re: 18th December Challenger 3 build ...update
Good morning all !!
Merry Christmas !
Time for an other update..
As usual I'll let the pic do the talking
But like to say the anit slip pads are masked and sprayed with rust oleum
Textured paint autumn brown
I think it's superb .. but a word of warning .. spray from about 18 inches away ..in light coats and build the surfaces up .. its very dilute and far to easy to get runs in the texture
Just be patient....
Next up is the beginning of the detailing ..tidying up little spots here and there and then the first primer paint ......
Enjoy ?

Awesome work sir!
So the Anti Slip is mask and sprayed using Rust Oleum Textured Paint?
Looks great!

Good idea for the anti-slip pads. Masking could be difficult for some models. This stuff can probably be sprayed over a separate very thin plastic sheet or paper, let to dry, then cut into individual shapes and placed over the model.

Hi all
Quick reply ...
The anti sip pannes were indeed done with Rust olium autumn brown
Making was a slow process ..
I do like the idea of being able to paint a plastic sheet and then cutting size ..
But here would be a lot of issues with contoured surfaces ...
Tamiya masking tape was amazing to use and worth every penny ....

Re: 25th . December Challenger 3 build ...update
It's Christmas day ..
OK food ..food and more food ..bugger all on the tv
So sat here looking at the challenger 2 Hull...oh god ....
Thank you heng long for producing this rc tank
Now the Hull corrections begin .. not going to mad with is as its generally quite good
It's really the lack,of detail that need attention and some slight corrections
The main one is the Hull upper front ..
( not drives cut out bay and hatch thwts a whole other night mare )
.. but the top pannels
From the Hull front to the turret ring the angle are ..just wrong ...
Heng long represented the Hull welds as raised bars ...there supposed to be weld seems which are between the pannles ....
Lots to do ,
has any one attempted to correct his part of the Hull top ?

Fantastic work!
It appears that you masked and sprayed the Non-Skid on the lower hull. Looks great!
