I thought it would be interesting to start a thread on any new weaponry that appears. This one looks pretty awesome!

Sigh. Steiner, here's the drill. Front line in riot gear, all with a 1m oak club, with leather thong at troop end. There's a way to wrap it around your hand where you won't loose the club, but if one of the bad guys grabs it and pulls, you just let it go and he don't pull you out of line. Behind every three in the front line is a sergeant. You do not raise your club in the front line, but handle it as a chest poker. Sergeants job is to reach over you with his club and tap anyone on the noggin who is being feisty. Said Sergeant also has a slung automat and a side arm in case things get difficult. Behind Sergeant is another line of troops in riot gear. If you go down. Sergeant reaches behind him and physically pulls a second liner up and plugs the hole with him. Third line, well. they're in combat gear, with automat, with fixed bayonets. After the rioters are given the "fight or flight" speach, the third line raises their weapons, soes the idiots can see the bayonets, and gives a rousing "Uurrraahhhh!" to let them know the consequences of their actions. Here, however, the second line has the automats. They don't play games in this berg. Anyone gets thru the first line, they gonna not be happy.
Or, the alternative is what some enterprising lad did somewhere in central Russia a few years ago. Riot was developing, and this young Kapitan thinks fast. As the crowd is coming down a street and busting windows left and right, and of course looting as they came. he has arranged for a fire truck with water cannon, hooked up to a large water bowser. Rioters got hosed real good. Only thing was, bowser was full of liquid sewage with purple dye in it. End of riot on the spot. Rumor has it that the troops and crushers was laughing to hard to arrest hardly anybody. However, the next day anyone with purple on them was busted on the spot.

Of course MOD regulations would stipulate a 3 day course on the correct deployment of ear defenders before using such an awesome weapon as this

Don't understand the laws you guy's have concerning firearms? We are having problem's in America over gun's.The new administration can't take away our guns,or the right to carry,so the are trying to limit ammunition sales and the life of the ammo, something like two year shelf life. But you guy's are under some bad rules and regulations, how did it happen?

it is the British government behaving in a Nanny state way by slowly taking away our rights,
by reacting over the top when one or two idiots goes berserk with a hand gun or shot gun and killing several people for no reason, Our Olympic pistol shooting team have to practice in another country because hand guns are banned by law, how stupid is that.

The next thing the MOD will be telling our armed forces is that they will have to revert back to bows and arrows as it is a lot cheaper than guns and bullets. Did anybody see our illustrious leader Brown on tv in Afghanistan a few days ago. Not enough helicopters for our boys, but theres one available for him. He should have been been made to travel by road in a viking or snatch land rover and taste the fear of the IEDs ,then he might listen.
( Apologies Wibbly, for going off on a tangent on your thread. )

That said, apart from the pond life drug dealers, hardly anyone dies from a shooting related crime in the UK, it is very, very rare. At the end of the day what use is a gun? The second you see someone with one you know that they are more afraid than you are, otherwise they wouldn't need one. As for arming the nation to the teeth in the event of impending Armageddon, what happens when the gun owner is down to their last bullet...decisions, decisions... :-\
The 'my gun is bigger than your gun' thing doesn't exist here, as only a tiny minority (and I mean tiny) possess one. They simply are not part of our culture. I don't recall ever having a conversation about firearms with anyone in my entire life. The closest I ever came was an air rifle, and archery?
Anyway, bullets and gunpowder are so last year...
