Hello, Coryphodon here.
As indicated I am postng from Paris France.
I own a HL KV1(1/16 scale) plus two smaller 1/24 tanks (a Tiger I and a Abrams)
I am especially interested in WWII Russian Front tanks since the 1970's when I began to play board wargaming
To name a few, I am fond of games such as the old Panzerblitz, those by Grognard Simulations Inc., and the Tactical Combat Series by MMP the Gamers.
Greetings to all.

Bienvenue, CP!. You're the second Parisian to join lately. :D We must be doing something well :D Quite a few members are fans of the Eastern Front clashes, so you'll be in good company.

Hi, Welcome to the Forum
I have to admit I have not yet got hold of a Soviet era Tank but it is on the list,
Enjoy the Forum and please ask lots of questions and if you know things about r/c and Armour perhaps you will answer questions

A late welcome Coryphodon,

Glad to have you with us! In the early 1980's I played lots of Squad Leader by Avalon Hill Games. Still have it here somewhere. Sure is something nostalgic about board games! At any rate, enjoy yourself here and have fun!

Cheers,
Eric.

Thanks to all for your
warm welcome.
I'll try to expand my
RC tank model collection, even if my
wallet becomes progressively emptier.

8)

Cheers

well, that is the risk when you succumb to the hobby.
I was mulling about buying a Hooben tank in the 1/10 scale,
but according to the general consensus on this forum, that would not be a good idea.
Maybe a Mato or a Torro model would be better choice

Cheers

A word or two about Mato models,
They use a lot of metal but it is very poor quality and whereas Taigen/Torro/Heng Long parts are often interchangeable almost none of those makers parts will fit a Mato Tank,
After saying that the rear plate of the Mato Tiger 1 is metal the Taigen/Torro and Heng Long rear plate is ABS and I have had three ABS rear plate mounting lug failures which I fixed by adapting a Metal Mato rear plate.
Do remember if you make a mistake with an unstressed part of a plastic Tank Body it is easy to fill and fix but a metal Tank body is very hard to fix.
