Clark TK-50 S-Bus Questions

I have a new TK50 board I'm installing in my T-34/85 build. First off, I have set the board to factory defaults prior setting up the rest of my settings to ensure I am starting from a fresh slate. I got my servo elevation, Taigen flash, and servo recoil to work by programming the board with the generic Sony RM969 remote. The only thing is it won't accept or give hits to another tank using the Tamiya protocol. I have verified that the behavior is the same using the Tamiya apple and the Clark IR programming cable. Have any of the TK50 users had this issue? I have also reset the board back to factory settings while troubleshooting and set all the previously mentioned settings a second time. I saw that the TV/Video button on the remote sets the Tamiya protocol, but no matter what that setting is set to (enabled or disabled) it won't take or accept hits.

This is the remote I have that was bought from DAK RCTanks:

Been using this and the Clark TK40 manual as reference for programming functions:

Any ideas?
