Will and Catherine have done it again
My 1/16 Flak 36 88mm Gun arrived this morning,
Boy oh boy if you like detail then this is the model for you
Only just finished unwrapping the many pieces that go to make up the complete gun and being in Red Oxide Primer I shall give everything a wipe down with acrylic thinners before giving it a decent top coat, I am presently thinking of a DAK Desert Yellow, :haha:
I lined up the Gun Shield with its mountings and using the ready fixed hex bolts I screwed it straight into place, No adjustments or fettling needed, Top quality, If there is a better version out there I would doubt it would come at such a good price
It was posted yesterday and it arrived this morning and that is brilliant.

Oh, man, I am jealous! ;D Mine is probably not even in the printer yet. :'( Hey, but I am patient, and how you can show me how to get it all working. Photos! Photos! (I ask--no pressure. :haha:)

Cheers. Kind words indeed and I am.glad you like it. Its part of our big bad boy pieces.
I spend alot of time making sure the parts go together nicely and use many differnet parts to help make the model as best as I can.
That postage was quick as hell, glad you got it soo soon.

We both look forward to seeing it painted up and being used and enjoyed.

I can't wait to get stuck into my next big piece, Flak40 on quad axles. Although that one might just be for myself as it is a HUGE weapon.

Don't worry Mr Professor yours isn't on the printer yet. I will get round to it with the bits you want aswell.
Heck I don't even have my own Flak 36 myself anymore as I swapped it for something a wee bit different, so more pictures will follow once I get it. Then I have to build another 88 for our own display haha

A small modification to the 4 cable reels was to remove the foreshortened metal axles which were too short and replace them with metal replacements 5 mm longer which allowed me to tap a thread on the end so I could fit washers and M1.6 wing nuts to retain everything in place,

You’re killing me, Will! I searched forever for a Merit 88 and finally got one from EBay! It’s a bit small for 1/16!! :( . Now you create this true 1/16 scale version. Oh the humanity!
I envy you, jarndice. So sad we’ll never see a photo of your finished model.
