Hi folks,
For those following along a little update.
I have finished painting some of the accesories on the SDKFZ 251, here are a couple of pics of the large " dustbin" exhaust that is fitted to the left front , i wanted a well used rusty crusty affair, as exhausts tend to go, as these would get quite hot in use being so close to the engine and out in the weather directly behind the front wheel so i painted it accordingly, most corrosion and flaking towards the top and less with more paint still visible towards the bottom.
I quite like the effect and think it looks a bit more interesting and atmospheric than just a nice smooth painted bin....i could be wrong of course.
Regards.

Hi,
A few coats of Dunklegelb yellow and light highlighting some metal parts to start off the slight weathering.
Also made some rubber tyres for the wheels....will see if they work...

Why thank you Mr Bix,
I had to look it up to see what i meant, Thank You.
Decided to make a Right hand side Notek side and brake light to go with my left hand Notek convoy light, not many people fit these small round ones on the right, but i like side and brake lights on my models so made one, the Notek convoy light has a small hole in the moveable flap, this lets the left hand brake light show to the rear when the flap is in convoy mode, covering the 2 left hand lights.

Hi,
More photos of the build.
Made a pair of front and rear Wehrmacht number plates, as this was a late war vehicle i chose a 7 digit number, they started off small and got longer as the war continued.
