Yeah... trying to find a broken Sherman for parts didn't work. Nor did sourcing all the parts to do what I want make economical sense. I did however receive a nice bonus from work... so I pulled the trigger on a complete Sherman. Steel gears, metal tracks and drive wheels. Running TK6.0S. For a mere $210...

Now to decide... scratch-build a Lee (Hey, it's basically a big box...) or go for Vandra's kit...
 
Oh, and if someone does have a poor broken Sherman that needs home; I still want a BARV...

I was about to suggest that is the best option. It as much fun to go shopping with a list and put it together yourself, but it’s ‘only logical Jim’.
