Taigen / Torro King Tiger IR and IBU2U

Good morning,

I’m in the process of hooking up the cables on my Taigen / Torro King Tiger IR to my IBU2U Full.

I’m somewhat puzzled as to where the black cable with pre fitted bullet connector (covered in heat shrink) on the mechanical recoil unit connects to the IBU2U.

I’ve had a look at the Taigen manuals web page and found the exploded electronics diagram as well as on the IBU site and can’t find the answer.

Also, how do you test if the IR facility is working / connected up correctly if you only have one tank?

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

if you talk about the thick wire, black or red? depending on the model, the Asiatam recoil, it normally goes on the minus of the 7.2 volts power supply after the general switch, the elevation and recoil control system being the 3 wires on a small white socket.

Apologies everyone.

I mucked up.

The actual wire I should have referred to is the thin pale blue one with the bullet connector coming from the turret.

if it's the one that goes through a switch, in the turret? you have to turn the switch and connect the blue and white on the recoil (together)
are we talking about this?

On the Taigen / Torro V3 board, coming out of the bottom and I presume soldered on is a black wire with a bullet connector at the end and covered with shrink wrap. From the turret there is the very thin pale blue wire also with a corresponding bullet connector. This connects to the black wire coming off the board.

This pale blue wire is the one I need to connect to the IBU2U Full. There is no mention on the Taigen site as what this wire does. On the IBU2U site there is no mention as to where the wire connects to.

Without pulling all the guts out of the turret- loads of wires, connectors, shrink wrap and a small daughter board PCB, I can’t see where the other end goes to.
All very puzzling.

Fantastic. Got it sorted out.

Blue wire spliced to black lead on middle terminal on main power switch - switch to board lead.
Works a treat.
Thank you.
